Public Forum on Indigenous Peoples Day on April 29

The Wellesley Board of Selectmen will hold a public forum during its regular meeting on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 7 p.m. to begin consideration of a request from World of Wellesley (WOW) to change Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples Day. If you would like to speak during the event, please reach out to info@worldofwellesley.org if you are unable to attend, please email the Board of Selectman at sel@wellesleyma.gov and share your support.

Please make every effort to attend the Board of Selectman meeting on April 29th at 7pm at the Town Hall. The BoS have planned the first community opportunity to hear our community voices in support of Indigenous Peoples Day. We need ALL of our voices to be heard, stories to be told and connections to be made. Your support is needed now and and we ask that you commit to attend and share in the support of honoring Indigenous Peoples Day in Wellesley.

Let Your Voices Be Heard! Please RSVP

This important effort will not happen for Wellesley if we don't show up, stand up and engage the community through collective actions. Please commit to attending on April 29th.
