Prevention. Treatments. Education. Now.

March 15 is International Long Covid Awareness Day, and we're doing our part to raise awareness in Los Angeles.

Join us at Grand Park (Spring Street entrance right across from City Hall) as we create a live display to help visualize how debilitating and destructive Long Covid can be. We will be lying down from 10-2 to represent all of those who are bedbound/homebound with Long Covid. Our goal is to bring Long Covid awareness to the general public and this display serves as a warning of what can happen to anyone after even one COVID infection.

Come lie down with us and bring attention to this ignored issue. We will have signage as well.

All are free to join whether you have Long Covid, know someone with Long Covid, or care about this deeply important cause. Long Covid can affect anyone, and unless urgent treatment and prevention comes to fruition, everyone is at risk for it. Yet we are facing more attacks on public health at the local, state, and federal level (LA County ending its COVID reporting dashboard, the Trump administration ending the Long Covid committee, the lack of treatments, etc). It is more important now than ever to make this crisis visible.

What to bring:
-Teal clothing and/or Long Covid awareness shirts encouraged
-A high-quality respirator (N95, KN95, KF94, P100, etc.)
-Blankets, pillows, yoga mats, etc. that can be laid out on the grass or sidewalk. Whatever you need to make yourself as comfortable as possible (bonus points if you have teal blankets)
-Water/sunscreen/sun protection
-Signs advocating for treatment, prevention, and eduction are welcome and encouraged. Whatever message calls to you!

All are welcome to participate. We ask that participants wear high-quality masks and test using a rapid test the morning of the event. If you need one, we will have some provided on site. While the action is from 10-2, attendees are free to come and go as energy allows.
