When a healthcare “incident” occurs it sets the hospital’s “investigation” wheels in motion. This presentation will explores these types of investigations and how they can negatively impact the health care professionals who were involved  in the “incident.”   Investigations can lead to employment actions, professional licensure actions, and more

Outcome: The learner will understand the negative impact that an investigation has on healthcare professionals who are involved in an incident and steps to take if such an action occurs.
