A valid Motion is structured as follows:

  • Title
  • Synopsis: setting out the background and purpose of the motion
  • Text: the specific changes or actions proposed
  • Proposer and Seconder: members of the Green Party in the London region

Although there is no restriction on the subject of a motion, members are encouraged to focus on policy or organisational issues within the remit of London Green Party.

Now that the deadline to submit Motions has passed, proposed Amendments to Motions can be submitted to secretary@london.greenparty.org.uk by 13.30 on Wednesday 16-Oct-2024.

A valid Amendment is structured as follows:

  • Synopsis: setting out the reason for the amendment
  • Text: the specific changes or actions proposed
  • Proposer and Seconder: members of the Green Party in the London region
  • (Optionally) whether it is a friendly amendment (i.e. the Proposer and the Seconder of the Motion support the amendment).

We are happy to provide support to the drafting of motions and amendments, so please email secretary@london.greenparty.org.uk with any questions you may have (but please do not leave it until right before the deadline!)
