Wishing you could speak directly with DRW staff about the impact of COVID on the disability community? Leading up to our Breaking Barriers event on October 2nd, join DRW on Wednesday, September 30 for a free hour-long Zoom exploring the impact of COVID on the disability community. You can hear from and directly ask questions of our staff, including:

• Mark Stroh, Executive Director
• David Carlson, Director of Advocacy
• Clark Matthews, Creative Co-Director, Rooted in Rights Program
• Heather McKimmie, Director, Amplifying the Voices of Incarcerated Individuals with Disabilities (AVID Program)
• Andrea Kadlec, Staff Attorney

At its core, COVID-19 deeply impacts the disability community – those who identify as disabled, those who are new to our community due to health conditions that place them at high risk or who acquire disabilities after contracting COVID-19. DRW has been advocating to mitigate the impact of COVID on our access to health care and education, on people in jails and prisons, and by sharing the stories of people with disabilities through blogs and video.

Break for lunch with DRW and then attend our virtual Breaking Barriers event on October 2nd from 6-7 PM.

We can’t wait for you to join us!
