This session will touch on the subjects of death and death of loved ones.

Our comrade Esme will be presenting an informal skill share on the logistics of death of loved ones.

Meet for an informal knowledge-sharing gathering about dealing with the logistics of death. Dealing with death is often an emotionally taxing experience, and more often than not, no one teaches us about the logistical (material, legal, financial) side of things. The target audience for this gathering is anyone who might be the primary caretaker, or otherwise person responsible for dealing with a person’s death. Whether it’s a parent, sibling, friend, aunt or uncle, or other. There will be a focus on the US generally, and California more specifically. Note that while I will be discussing general legal and financial aspects of death, I will not be giving advice and this will not be a replacement for seeking professional legal or financial advice.

This gathering will be held in English. If you believe that someone would like to participate who is not an English speaker, please email mutualaid@dsa-la.org. Spanish or ASL interpretation can be accommodated with one week’s notice. For other languages, please contact mutualaid@dsa-la.org as soon as possible.

Please RSVP for meeting connection information.
