March with the Democrats in the Fairfax City 4th of July Parade

Join the City of Fairfax Democrats and candidates in the largest 4th of July event in Virginia! With one of only two states having statewide elections this year, our commonwealth will be under the spotlight. We need your presence at this high-visibility event. Last year, we were joined by Senator Tim Kaine and Fairfax City’s General Assembly delegation. This year, we’ll have special guests announced soon.

Instructions from City of Fairfax (We are in Division 6):

Report to line-up at 9am (line-up will be permitted prior to 9am). DIVISION LOCATION: FOLLOW BLUE SIGNS! Division 6 will line-up in the Massey Building Complex parking lot located at Page Avenue and West Street.

Vehicles that are not in the parade but are dropping off parade participants shall enter the parade line-up area via Rt. 236/Main Street and Judicial Drive, turn left on Page Avenue, either use Parking Garage B or continue to intersection of Page Avenue and West Street, unload participants, exit line-up area by turning left on West Street, turn left on Rt. 236/Main St. Participants will need to walk to their appropriate line-up area.
PARKING LOCATION: Free parking is available at the Massey Building Complex Parking Garage B, located on Page Avenue (Garage A is not available for parking). Parking passes are not required.

No throwing of objects to the crowd of the parade.

This event incudes important visibility for our statewide ticket for tens-of-thousands of Northern Virginia residents, so you do not need to be a Fairfax Resident to participate.

We do ask to keep all messaging positive as the audience incudes a lot of families who do not necessarily want to see negative campaigning at their local 4th of July parade. (ex: instead of chanting or bringing a sign that says "Stop Republicans!", say "Elect Democrats, Save Democracy!)
