We hope to see you on the 15th! AFSCME's history is deeply connected with the legacy of Dr. King. In 1968, he went to Memphis to offer his support and join members of AFSCME Local 1733 in solidarity, because he believed there can be no racial justice without economic justice. He believed that labor rights, civil rights and human rights are all one and the same.

The struggle for labor rights, civil rights, and human rights continues. We continue to be Inspired by his courage and moral example. Join us as we honor Dr. King's legacy.
