Mass Poor People's & Low-Wage Workers' State House Assembly & Moral March on Springfield and to the Polls!

Event Details: We are uniting with 30 states across the nation for simultaneous Mass Poor People's & Low-Wage Workers' Assemblies on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

We will gather at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of E. Capitol & 4th Street; then we will march to the Capitol at 11:00 a.m.

Unifying Values and Demands: The unifying values of the Assembly and March center around the following demands for ALL, including:

  • Worker & Labor Rights, the Right to Living Wages
  • Quality Health Care For All
  • Access to Housing
  • Fully Funded Accessible Public Education
  • Voting Rights & Ending Voter Suppression
  • Equal Rights for All
  • Abolishing Poverty
  • Environmental Justice
  • The Unity of Love, Not the Division of Hate



    Parts of the Lincoln Statue have steps, so the sidewalks and gathering area will be available and prioritized for ADA participants. Street parking is available. Bathrooms can be used at the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, located at 321 S. 7th St., Springfield, IL 62701 (the First Presbyterian Church is 5-6 blocks from the assembly).
