Learning Thursdays is back for January! This month we'll be looking at Building and Maintaining a Citizens Alliance. Building collective power is at the root of community organising, and this month we'd like to discuss with you the fundamentals and techniques behind creating a sustainable Alliance. Throughout this training series we aim to equip community leaders - both those that are new to community organising as well as those with more extensive experience - with the tools to apply learning to effective change-making in their community.

Organising Money: how to build a funding base that gives your alliance power and sustainability: For anyone who would like to attend our masterclass, please join us on 28th January 16:00-17:15.

Community organising teaches us that to get power (and therefore make change) we need two things - organised people and organised money. Too often we're far more comfortable talking about the former than we are the latter! If we're going to build permanent, people-powered organisations that can hold the state and the market to account over the long-haul, we have to change this. This masterclass session is unashamedly all about money!

...why is raising money so important to our method of making change?
...how do we build a sustainable, effective and growth-oriented funding model in our chapter leadership teams?
...what is the role of the leadership group and organiser(s) is in the process of raising your chapter money?
This is a must for leadership group members who are committed to building the power of civil society to make change in their town or city.

Register by filling in your details and you will receive the Zoom link for the session.

We hope you can make it!
