Jessica Rocha, Legislative Director for Assembly Member Mike Fong, will join us on Thursday, April 3 at 3:00 pm PDT, on Zoom.

Assembly Member Mike Fong was elected to represent the 49th Assembly District in a special election in February 2022. The District includes the cities of Monterey Park, Rosemead, Alhambra, South Pasadena and Arcadia.

Prior to his election to the Assembly, he served as a Trustee of the Los Angeles Community College District. He also worked as the Director of Policy and Government Relations for the City of Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the East Area Director for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

His stated priorities include reducing homelessness, protecting the environment, expanding access to higher education, and helping businesses create jobs. His committee assignments include Chair of the Higher Education Committee and member of Appropriations, Banking and Finance, and Governmental Organization. Although none of these committees are specifically focused on climate and environmental issues, they are all connected through the nexus of local government and budget.

Of the seventeen bills Assembly Member Fong has introduced this session, twelve are educational bills. We are looking forward to meeting with Jessica Rocha, Legislative Director for Assembly Member Fong so we can share our climate and environmental priorities.

Please use this form to register for the meeting. We’ll convene for a prep meeting at 2:30 to plan and agree on our priorities for our part of the conversation. The legislator meeting will begin 30 minutes later, at 3:00. If you can’t make the 2:30 planning meeting, please join at 3:00 to listen to the conversation.

We look forward to seeing you!
