Join us for the inaugural Membership Engagement Committee (MEC) meeting! MDCDSA Membership voted by unanimous consent at the Dec. 2021 MDCDSA Convention to create the MEC, which will:

• Oversee a Member Development Department, which would develop and implement member training and political education programs, with an intentional focus on developing a diverse and representative layer of chapter organizers and leaders.
• Oversee a Member Mobilization Department, which would develop and implement chapter-wide mobilization and onboarding efforts. This would include mobilization for events and actions, as well as helping to fill roles and needs across MDC DSA Branches, Campaigns, Working Groups, and Sections, and ensuring new members are plugged-in to campaigns and formations that align with their skills, interests, and capacity.
• Oversee a Member Recruitment Department, which would research, develop, and implement plans for membership recruitment, with an intentional focus on developing a diverse and representative membership in our chapter.

All MDCDSA members interested in joining the MEC are welcome!
