Let’s gather for an evening of mourning, solidarity, and hope.
Mission Hospital was once a trusted and beloved institution. But under HCA ownership, Mission has seen 10 patient deaths in 18 months, including the recent patient death by suicide in the emergency department.
This is a level of greed-driven crisis that should never have been allowed to happen in our community.
On June 29, we are calling a community meeting about the state of our hospital. This is not a protest. It is a space to gather, to grieve what WE ALL have lost and have endured, and to transform our pain into collective power. Together, we will name what is happening, hold space for our grief and righteous anger, and take the first steps toward demanding the care our community deserves.
All are welcome—patients, families, healthcare workers, neighbors, and community members who believe our hospital should serve people, not shareholders.
