Missouri NEA Capital Action Day (April 29, 2020)

Start: Wednesday, April 29, 202010:00 AM

End: Wednesday, April 29, 2020 2:00 PM

RAISE UP YOUR VOICE FOR STUDENTS AND PUBLIC EDUCATION!

MNEA Members at Missouri Capital

MNEA maintains one of the largest and most active advocacy teams in the Missouri Capital, so we are always ready to represent the best interest of students and educators.

Having educators like you in the capital is what makes MNEA successful. Legislators need to hear about your experiences so they can make the best decision for students and educators.

When educators meet with their legislators to discuss retirement security, the expansion of unaccountable charter schools, voucher programs, funding for critical services like transportation and counseling it is meaningful and impactful.

Plan now to make the trip to Jefferson City to attend your Capitol Action Day. Each Capitol Action Day will start with a briefing at 10 a.m. to provide you with the most up-to-date information.

Suggested Attire: Business / Business Casual

Schedule: Participants should arrive no later than 10 a.m. at MNEA Headquarters (second-floor board room), 1810 E Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO.

Security: All Capitol visitors are now required to go through security checkpoints, including metal detectors and inspection of items.

Transportation: MNEA will provide a shuttle to and from MNEA HQ to the Capitol.

Lunch will be provided at the MNEA Headquarters building upon return from the Capitol during a short debriefing.

Capitol Action Days are part of Missouri NEA’s comprehensive Government Relations plan to promote positive policy for public education. MNEA's Capitol Action Days are each Wednesday of the 2019 legislative session (February through May).
