Monday: Vigil to Protest Keystone XL in Lincoln
Start: Monday, February 03, 2014• 5:00 PM
With the release of the State Department’s final environmental impact statement, this is a crucial moment to protest Keystone XL. Join us Monday evening to send the message to President Obama that Keystone XL fails his climate test and he must reject it.
Our plan is to hold the vigil outside the Governor's mansion, but if we become too large a crowd the backup is to move the vigil around the corner to the West side of the Capitol (1445 K St.)
Wear your Pipeline Fighter t-shirt if you have one, and bring a homemade #NoKXL sign, or else a mason jar or travel mug filled with water — to represent our concerns with KXL crossing the Ogallala Aquifer — or photos of your farms or ancestors to display.
You can also bring an "electronic" candle or download a "candle" app on your smartphone.
See you on Monday evening!
