This training is open to all progressive staff and any volunteer who is ready to take a leap in their organizing skills, participants walk away ready to hit the doors! You will learn awareness of the different canvassing strategies and purposes, along with how one might employ this tactic to advance campaigns. This event will occur the third Thursday of every month, 5:30-7:30 pm, at the Lewiston MPA office.

Because space is limited, we may not be able to accept everyone who applies. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to come to the training.

We aim to offer these trainings to as many people as possible to strengthen the progressive movement. While there are costs involved—staff time, food, venue rental, and materials—the fee we’re asking for covers the basics. However, we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone. If you can’t pay the full amount, simply pay what you can afford. And if you’re unable to pay at all, please apply anyway—we’ll do our best to accommodate you! If accepted into the program, the trainer will discuss with you about payment options and sliding fees.
