September 24, 2015, will be a historic day, as Pope Francis speaks to Congress. Tens of thousands of us will be just footsteps away from the Capitol, flooding the National Mall with a show of support for the Pope's Encyclical letter as he calls for urgent action on climate, economic, and immigrant  justice. The Washington, DC events provide an opportunity to elevate concerns about the climate crisis while Pope Francis is in the nation’s decision making Capitol.  

This historic mobilization is a key step towards the Paris Climate Agreement being strong and binding with the support of the American people.There will be a sea of national and international press at the National Mall. The American people will be watching and our Congressional representatives will see and hear that we are a growing and powerful moral movement, touching the lives of people from all walks of life.

Together we will carry our shared banner,
                   “America’s Moral Duty: Take Action for Climate Justice Now.”

Join us on the National Mall, organize a local solidarity event, gather with others in your home town, be part of this historic day and week of actions.
