Moral Monday Vigil & Rally

Start: Monday, February 01, 201612:00 PM

End: Monday, February 01, 2016 1:00 PM

For too long, the halls of power in Albany have been dominated by those with money and favors to give. As a result, public policy has been skewed to benefit the wealthy and well-connected, while the majority of New York's families find it harder and harder to access quality housing, food, education, healthcare, or living wage jobs.

Join faith and community leaders in demanding a state governement that

SERVES THE PEOPLE
REJECTS CORRUPTION
FIGHTS POVERTY AND INEQUALITY

Our elected leaders must act this session to
- pass ethics reform
- raise the minimum wage
- equitably fund our public schools
- raise taxes on the wealthy
- fund proven solutions to hunger, homelessness and poverty
- pass criminal justice reforms
- pass paid family leave

Our struggles are inseparable. Addressing the crisis of poverty in New York State requires people of conscience from across the state to act on their moral imperatives, and demand of their elected officials a New York that works for all.
