“How do movements achieve transformation? How do we engage in the movement for Palestinian Liberation here in the U.S.? Here in Omaha?” These are the questions Nebraskans for Peace: Palestinian Rights Task Force (Nebraskans For Palestine) explored with the community during the educational series of watch parties, guided community discussions, and workshops held in the fall of 2024.
Expanding on the 2024 NE Study Series For Palestine, 2025 will focus on one-day learning events with applicable tools and skills to positively affect liberation & resistance efforts locally.
Session 1 will focus on local politics, and digital security. Participants will walk away with knowledge about upcoming mayoral & city council elections, as well as tools & skills to better protect digital footprints during this time of increased surveillance and suppression.
Registration is encouraged. On-site childcare provided (limited, registration encouraged). This session will be held on the UNO campus, College of Public Affairs & Community Service.
