Host Guidelines - Join a Debate Watch Party

Thanks for your interest in hosting a watch party for the first presidential debate on Monday, Sept. 26!

After you create your event, we'll give you a link to download our host guide, which includes helpful tips and other things you can use during the debate to make your party a success.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind before you create your event:

1. Think about a good venue to host your party. It should be big enough to accommodate your guests and anyone else who signs up from an email we'll send later in the week to our email list to promote your event.

2. Make sure you add contact info to your event, so people can get in touch with you with any questions.

3. Unless you mark your event as private, we will plan to promote it to other supporters on our email list. To mark your event as private, check the box that says, "This is a private event. Hide this from public searches."

Okay!
The shorter and more descriptive, the better.
Virtual events do not require a location, but virtual events with a location will appear on the event campaign map. (Those without a location will appear in search results only.) At least a ZIP/postal code is required for map placement for virtual events.
Select the timezone in which your event will take place.
Add Banner Image (optional)

Upload an image or banner below. Your image should be 1500px wide by any height (600px is suggested). It will be scaled to a final size of 750px wide.

Okay!
This is shown to people before they RSVP. Let them know what the event will be like and why they should attend.
