Organizing in Deep Rural and Red Areas

Here's a little background on what Nina and Ben will be helping us accomplish:

The Eastern Shore Of Maryland is actually not as "Conservative" as many believe, but it has voted like it is since the 1960s. For example, on the Lower Eastern Shore there are actually over 5,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans and even more progressive leaning voters. Only one county has more Republicans than Democrats (Worcester). The problem here is that voter turnout has been extremely low resulting in a very conservative government.  

We at the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus have designed a plan to organize to win progressive campaigns such as Ben Jealous' Governor's race. We are also targeting other other State and Local races we are targeting. This includes voter Registration, Door knocking, and Get-Out-The-Vote effort -- all of which we will need to achieve our goals.  We believe have a serious opportunity to grow Our Revolution on the Lower Shore and begin to elect rural progressives in 2018.
