Come join our partners in NJ7 Forward and other Swingleft volunteers to get Democratic voters informed, and excited, about the upcoming New Jersey primaries. In keeping with Swingleft's policy of staying neutral during the primaries, we will not be backing any particular candidate. We will be dropping literature to ensure turnout for the New Jersey primaries hits the same big numbers we've seen in the gubernatorial and special elections this year.

Our path to victory depends on an excited, informed and motivated Democratic base turning up at the polls. By driving up primary numbers we can start to build excitement towards the general election in November, demonstrate there is a real possibility of turning NJ-07 from red to blue, and draw national attention to the district.

We're not knocking on doors for this event, so expect to cover a lot of ground. Bring your comfiest walking shoes, water and snacks, and be sure to check the weather in case it rains. If you've wanted to get involved, but haven't taken the plunge, this is a great way to get started. We won't be knocking on doors, so no need to be nervous about asking strangers about their politics. If you're one of our veteran canvassers this will be a good warm up for the GOTV canvassing we'll be doing in October and November.
