Join MPA members from the Oxford Hills and surrounding areas as we work to take action in our community and move MPA's work forward. Come hear more about what's happened since our last meeting.

At MPA, electoral campaigns are just one part of our overall strategy. But elections are important - it's where we get to pick who we lobby in January. As I've been asking people, who would you rather call on in January - Beth Bosworth or John Andrews? If you care about truth, communityand inclusion, you wanna talk to Beth. Am i right?

Well, this Wednesday August 26, our Norway chapter will host nearly all of the county and legislative candidates from our region. As of this moment, I have confirmations from

  • Beth Bosworth, Senate 18
  • Arlie Hetrick, House 77
  • Woody Hughes, House 78
  • Brianna Lueck, House 79
  • Azalea Cormier, House 80
  • Christopher Easton, House 81
  • Chris Lewey, House 82
  • Tim Becker, House 83
  • County candidates Tim Holland, Savannah Sessions and Janet Jamison have been invited as well
Each of these candidates is trying to flip a seat from MAGA to our worldview: a world where everyone has what they need, contributes what they can, and no one is left behind. A world where we don’t scapegoat immigrants, don’t blame the poor, and don’t pit people against each other - all to distract everyone from seeing the people at the top holding the strings.

So winning these local elections is SO important to our long term goals.

Please come out on the 26th and find a way you can pitch in. Even though you are already overwhelmed with the things you are already doing, we need a big push here in the last 10 weeks of the campaign.

This is an opportunity to connect with neighbors and build relationships with those passionate about social action. Dinner is provided, and please RSVP!

Doors will open for food and socializing at 5:30, and the meeting agenda will start at 6:00.
