Election Action: Youth put ScoMo on trial

Start: Tuesday, May 17, 202212:00 PM

End: Tuesday, May 17, 2022 1:00 PM

Young people are putting Scott Morrison on trial. This federal election, we are making our voices heard, sharing our stories and concerns to call out this government for failing young people and selling out our future.

We are facing an urgent climate crisis, a global pandemic and an uncertain economic future. But Scott Morrison has failed us at every step, whether it's continuing to support dangerous new coal and gas projects, or letting covid rip through our communities. Instead of safeguarding our future, this government has spent 9 years continually prioritising big business interests above all else, including the health and lives of the people.

Join Tomorrow Movement and others outside the Supreme Court in Sydney on Gadigal land as we hold a mock trial of Scott Morrison for selling out our future. Hear the testimony of young people as we share our stories and call for just solutions.

We are demanding a plan that puts people ahead of big business - a Climate Jobs Guarantee. A Climate Jobs Guarantee would solve the health and climate crisis by creating thousands of good jobs and putting people to work doing what's needed to care for our communities, and prepare and prevent future crises.

We need leaders who are as clear-eyed as we are about the threats we face, and who can deliver a real plan to solve these crises at the scale and speed necessary. We need Scott Morrison OUT and a Climate Jobs Guarantee IN!

Join us to raise your voice: put ScoMo on trial for his failures, and call for a climate jobs plan for a better future for all.

We aim to make our events and actions as accessible as possible. If you have any questions or accessibility needs please contact Maneesha on 0430910212.

We acknowledge that this action will take place on the stolen, unceded lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. There is no justice without First Nations justice.
