Are you a small business owner or employee concerned about the climate crisis and how to recover in a post-Covid economy? Or do you just want to support small businesses in your community?
If so, please RSVP to join an inspiring rally led by 100 small business owners on June 16th in Washington, DC. We’ll gather outdoors near the Capitol lawn in support of President Joe Biden’s American Jobs Plan and its 100% clean electricity by 2035 provision.
If you want to support the cause but cannot attend this in person action, please sign a letter of support here and forward the letter far and wide.
Even before COVID-19, many of America’s small businesses were struggling to stay afloat. The American Jobs Plan will provide direct support to small businesses through increased access to federal contracts and more than $110 billion in financing and technical assistance programs.
It will also reduce small business shipping delays by upgrading our nation’s transportation infrastructure; help “mom-and-pop” shops reach new customers by providing universal broadband; and train American workers for the jobs of the future. And there are a number of provisions that will help businesses succeed even as the globe continues to warm. Learn more here.
The time to act is now. On June 16th we will gather at the US Capitol to show our support for 100% clean electricity and the American Jobs Plan. You can see a FAQ about this event Here.
Co-sponsors of this event include Ceres, the American Sustainable Business Council, the Main Street Action, and CCAN Action Fund.
