Please join us for this online Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) Training and take to the streets in the name of Extinction Rebellion.

This is an essential session for new Rebels, and a timely update for others as it has been updated for October 2021! We will prepare you for taking part in and organising actions for Extinction Rebellion in Victoria and beyond.

We cover all the bases to prepare you as much as possible for taking to the streets:

1.Our Core Strategy: what we want, and how we will get it
2.Non-Violent Direct Action and Civil Disobedience: what it is and how to do it!
3.Know Your Rights
4.Getting Arrested, supporting arrestees and going to court
5.Action Skills and practicing with other Rebels

Our experienced trainers aim to give people the time, space and experience to consider the many ways of taking part in and supporting NVDA and Civil Disobedience and to feel comfortable about choosing to do so.

Attendance is very important for those who plan to take part in actions, whether you do or do not wish to risk arrest.

The workshop is also a great opportunity to meet other Rebels, hear their XR stories and learn to work together to build community.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are new, we strongly recommend that you attend one of the regular Heading for Extinction sessions before coming to NVDA training. These are 90 minute sessions and can be found under Events at https://ausrebellion.earth/
