Our Future vs. National Grid’s Fracked Gas (Brooklyn)

Start: Tuesday, March 24, 2020 5:00 PM

End: Tuesday, March 24, 2020 8:00 PM

Join the Stop the Williams Pipeline Coalition and New Yorkers across the region to oppose National Grid’s dangerous fracked gas proposals and urge Governor Cuomo to fund 100% renewable solutions.

National Grid is hosting a series of public meetings throughout the month of March. They will be providing info about their long term energy supply proposals for the lower NY region.

The proposals include four fracked gas options (including the Williams pipeline!) and one hydrogen option. Fossil fuels are bad for the climate and for New York communities. Technology for hydrogen energy, experts say, is many years away.

We cannot entertain “solutions” that contribute to rising seas and surging temperatures. Spread the word about this and the other meetings (full schedule below).

Our message is simple: Our future is more important than National Grid’s profit. Governor Cuomo must fund renewable solutions now!
