Whilst the Northern Hemisphere suffers record breaking heat this summer with much of Europe on fire and as a deadly heat dome hangs across parts of the US, our government has just announced that it will approve 100’s new North Sea oil and gas licences.

We are more than furious.

We need a government that understands and acts on the climate emergency. Last week, it was reported that part of the Gulf Stream could collapse by 2025. This government is self interested, deluded and without a doubt, incredibly dangerous.

We need a government that supports a just, fair and affordable transition away from the fossil fuels that are the root cause of an accelerating climate crisis, whilst protecting the most vulnerable in society. We can have both and we're going to make it known to Rishi Sunak that parents are angry and do not support his expansion of oil and gas!
