Pasco School Administrators, Teachers, Clubs, PTA and Students are invited to participate in the

2nd annual APPRECIATE PASCO: GOOD DEEDS DAY FESTIVAL.

Join us and millions of people worldwide in doing good on Good Deeds Day: April 7, 2019 by attending Appreciate Pasco —A Community Festival Celebrating Doing Good.

Good Deeds Day is a global movement that unites 100 countries around the world in doing good deeds. Since 2007, millions of people and thousands of organizations and businesses worldwide have united together every year to do good and volunteer, putting into practice the simple idea that every person can do a good deed, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively impact the world.

The Appreciate Pasco: Good Deeds Day Festival kicks off Volunteer Appreciation Week and offers an opportunity to recognize and thank groups and organizations, along with their volunteers, who lend their time, talent, voice and support to causes they care about in our community, and honor ALL volunteers who are working on behalf of others without being motivated by financial gain.

The festival is intended to build community by bringing together Non-Profits, For Profits, Arts & Crafts Vendors and our local citizenry to celebrate doing good, right here in Pasco County!

This year, instead of recognizing participants on stage, we will be doing Facebook and Twitter Livestream. This is a perfect activity for tech savvy students and fun too!

YOU ARE INVITED TO RESERVE A TABLING SPACE TOO!

Bring your own table, chairs, and personnel to man your promotional table for the duration of the festival. A canopy no larger than 10x10 is suggested, but not required. Set up at the location begins at 11:00AM and the festival starts at NOON. Break-down begins no earlier than 4PM. The festival officially closes at 5PM. Parking near your tabling space is temporary, so arrive early to unload. If you have a any special needs (such as electric or you if you are bringing a large vehicle to display), please email pascoactivists@gmail.com to let us know.

ELECT TO PROVIDE A PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY OR OFFER A PRIZE BASKET AT YOUR TABLE.

Passerby’s are more likely to want to visit your table if you provide a fun activity. Activities can be geared toward your organizations purpose or entirely just for fun. They can be a hands-on demonstration (potted plants), a game contest (spelling or fact guess), an exercise (yoga), photo booth,  or simply a coloring exercise. Options are limitless. Find suggestions here. The vision wall is very popular.

If you choose to offer a prize basket the basket (valued no greater than $20) it will remain on your table until such time as it is raffled off. You will ask passerby’s to buy a raffle ticket (proceeds going towards the venue).

YOU CAN ALSO SOLICIT PATRONS TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR OWN UPCOMING ORGANIZED ACTIVITY.

Entice passerby’s by encouraging them to sign up to volunteer with your group or club. Simply plan an activity (to include, date, time & place) to occur soon after the festival aligned with your mission and a Good Deeds Day Sustainable Development Goal & ask people to sign up to participate.
