International Women Human Rights Defenders webinar

This PBI-Canada webinar will feature three women human rights defenders Tatiana Tariana (a lawyer with COSPACC in Colombia), Sophia Sidarous (a Mi’kmaq land defender in Canada) and Maryanne Kasina (a community activist in Kenya) in a discussion moderated by Meera Karunananthan (the director of the global organization Blue Planet Project). The speakers will reflect on the frontline struggles they are engaged in and the meaning of International Women Human Rights Defenders Day to them.
