Please join us for the 6th installment in our Peace & Justice Conversations Series: Black Lives Matter in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire is among the most homogeneously white states in the US, and is sometimes referred to as "way down south up north" and many of us can at least anecdotally point to cases where people of color have been driven out of the state altogether. Join us on Monday, August 17 as we discuss the Black Lives Matter movement, and the hurdles and challenges the movement has faced here in NH. Ronelle Tshiela is an organizer with Black Lives Matter Manchester, and Martin Toe organizes with the American Friends Service Committee- NH Program, and will talk about living while black and organizing in New Hampshire

Martin Toe is a long-time organizer with American Friends Service Committee, Co- Founder of Change for Concord, Author of the book “America Calls to Me; the story of a refugee boy’s journey” and aspiring Musician.

Ronelle Tshiela is Co-founder of BLM Manchester, senior at UNH studying Political Science, and serving as Public Member on the LEACT commission.

COVID 19 has brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we've been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We'd like to take this moment to bring you into some conversations about issues and options for the future. Our new online abilities make it possible to come together across the state more easily to connect, learn and work for peace and justice. This bi-weekly Zoom series hosted by NHPA members will offer different topics of discussion for each session. Be part of the conversation!

You will receive Zoom link and instructions with your RSVP.  (Make sure to scroll down past the green "Thanks for your support" block to see the Zoom link)
