Please join us for a discussion on how the current insect apocalypse, sixth mass extinction and climate change are effecting native and non native Pollinators. Guest speakers will be Fawn Gaudet, who will talk about protecting Pollinators by not using chemicals. Fawn, leader of NH Saves Our Pollinators Coalition will also talk about past work raising pollinators awareness through the gracious help of NH Peace Action, NH Sierra Club and many groups in prior rallies. She is joined in this discussion with Honorable State Representative Catherine Sofikitis who was the prime sponsor of last years bill: HB 646-FN.The Saving New Hampshire's Pollinators Act. Together they worked with many groups including Beyond Pesticides, Drew Toher and Non Toxic NH, Diana Carpinone, trying to pass Pollinator saving legislation. They hope to answer questions and encourage future activism from folks to help save our Pollinators.

Fawn Gaudet a descendant of the Blackfeet Nation and of mixed heritage, who grew up and currently lives in NH. But in the past was able to live on the Navajo reservation while attending college. Her experiences helped her to grow into an activist that has raised awareness on Indigenous, human rights, protecting Mother Earth, its biodiversity, focusing on native and non native Pollinators. In this mission she shares about the insect apocalypse, sixth mass extinction, climate change and how we can promote healthy organic practices, working on future legislation to protect our Pollinators and environment.

Rep. Catherine Sofikitis is an RN who is currently serving in her 3rd term in The NH House. She serves on the Environment and Agriculture Committee. She is an organic gardener, dedicated to building pollinator gardens and composting. She enjoys canning vegetables and fruits from her garden. She lives in Nashua with her 2 Newfoundland Dogs Sally and Sam.
