Start: Thursday, May 29, 2025• 6:30 PM
End: Thursday, May 29, 2025• 8:30 PM
The fight for a just and equitable democracy isn’t just about big moments—it’s about what we build in between them. With so much at stake right now, it’s more important than ever to invest in the people and relationships that keep our movements going.
But how do we make sure our work lasts longer than the news cycle? How do we build a movement that’s ready for the long haul?
Join us on Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 PM at MLK Library to answer these questions and more. You'll have the opportunity to get into the weeds on the role of relationship building in creating robust, sustainable movements for democracy. We’ll dig into why relationships are the foundation of strong organizing, and how to build them through essential organizing tools.
Through interactive exercises, we’ll cover:
- Why relationships matter—and how they sustain movements through change and challenge.
- How to connect—using personal stories and meaningful questions to build trust across differences.
- What motivates action—and how to find common ground that drives people to get involved.
- How to invite others in to build toward the future with you—with clear, thoughtful asks that grow your work and your impact.
By the end, you’ll feel confident having strategic conversations that build relationships, grow your organizing work, and move people to action. Whether you’re new to organizing or a seasoned pro looking to sharpen your skills, this training will leave you energized and ready to start building movements that matter. We'll see you there!
