This October, we’re crafting a new anthem, and our people will be heard.
Register today to use our voices for power at the People Powered Virtual Vote Rally on October 2, 2020 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM ET!

WHO
You! We’re counting down the days til the 2020 election, and we want to use this event as an informative and energetic digital organizing tactic to engage the entire State Voices network and our national partners.

We want to engage members, volunteers, constituents, voters and supporters of building power for multi-racial communities through civic access, engagement, and representation.

WHAT
People Powered will be a two-hour rally-style call to action hosted by state and national activists, and entertainers. We will energetically celebrate the achievements of organizers on the ground. We’ll highlight partner achievements in voter registration, lay out a People Powered Vote Plan we can all use to cast our vote, and educate participants in voting rights issues our communities may face, and how to mitigate them.

We're so grateful to Greisa Martinez Rosas (she/her), Executive Director of United We Dream, and Kinzie Mabon (she/her) Field Director of Nebraska Civic Engagement Table, for hosting! And for Ashlee Marie Preston, who's going to share a special message with us!

WHERE
We will Live Stream our rally on State Voices Facebook and Twitter pages, and livestream to YouTube.

WHEN
October 2, 2020, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM ET (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM CT / 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM MT / 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM PT)

ORGANIZE WITH US!
This isn’t just another Facebook event, it's an opportunity to organize our people with civic access and power. We want to partner with organizations and individuals to host watch parties all across our country to push the message that we are using our voices for power in 2020!

ACCESSIBILITY
Our virtual rally will strive to uphold the tenets of disability justice and meet the demands of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which creates the conditions for more visibility, considerations, and respect for all disabled people.

Live and pre-recorded videos will include an interpretation team to accommodate American Sign Language and open captions where possible. For additional  accommodations, please contact voicesforpower@statevoices.org

Register here to stay up to date on the rally, speakers, toolkit and more! Start getting pumped up by listening to rapper Cheeno Ghee's new song BlackStar, that was made in collaboration with the State Voices network!
