Join us for the People’s State of the Union Watch: Action on Climate, Care, Jobs, and Justice is PAST DUE!
Start: Tuesday, March 01, 2022• 6:00 PM
Join us for the People’s State of the Union Watch – the same night as Biden’s State of the Union address – to tell President Biden and the Senate that bold action on climate, care, jobs and justice is PAST DUE.
The Senate has yet to pass a comprehensive climate and social spending package, and President Biden has yet to take bold executive action on climate. Join us on the evening of the State of the Union address to remind the Senate and President Biden that we the people are watching, and demanding that they use their power and every tool necessary—including legislative and executive action—to get the job done.
Bold action and investments are PAST DUE.
We’ll be out from 6pm-11pm for a night of food, music, art, and a live screening of the State of the Union starting at 9pm as we mobilize for the investments our communities need to thrive, including:
Climate action, including millions of green jobs and renewable energy investments
A strong care economy, including investments in home & elder care
Affordable, green housing and transportation
Expanded healthcare coverage and lower prescription drug costs
Hope you can join us at the intersection of D street and Delaware street Northeast!
