Peterborough Citizens, part of Citizens UK, invites you to our Mayoral Assembly 2025. This is a unique opportunity to engage with the candidates for Mayor of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire and discuss how we can work together to build a more just, fair, and inclusive region.

Who We Are

Peterborough Citizens is a people-powered alliance of faith groups, schools, universities, community organizations, and unions. We are united in our mission to tackle injustice and create a better future for our city through collective action. Together, we listen, act, and lead on issues that matter most to our communities.

Our Manifesto: A Vision for Peterborough

Rooted in listening campaigns across the city, our 2025 manifesto focuses on three key priorities:

• Housing and Homelessness: Addressing the growing crisis and ensuring everyone has a place to call home.
• Affordable Housing: Advocating for sustainable housing solutions that meet the needs of local people.
• Combating Prejudice: Promoting unity and inclusivity while challenging all forms of discrimination.

Why This Matters

We believe that meaningful change happens when ordinary citizens work together with decision-makers. As a people-powered alliance, we are eager to collaborate with the Combined Authority Mayor of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire to turn these priorities into actionable policies.
