Transit in the South Bay is in a dire state! For the region to meet its climate, economic growth, affordability, air quality, public health, and justice goals we need drastically improved transit service. We have a chance to pass a bill that sets the stage for a major increase in transit funding to the South Bay, so come help educate and engage voters to speak out in favor of funding transit.  

The more South Bay voters that sign on to the petition telling their State representatives and transit boards to support transit funding, the better chance we have of getting the funds our region needs. Help us get SB1031, the “Connect Bay Area Act” bill passed into law!

Event details:

Meet out front of the San Jose Diridon Station at 12:30pm on Saturday April 13th to get trained up, partnered with a petitioning buddy and a stack of petitioning flyers. We will then go out into the neighborhoods to pass out flyers, educate people about transit, and get folks to sign the petition.

Afterwards, volunteers are invited to join a no-host happy hour at Three Sisters in San Pedro Square at 3pm to de-brief and celebrate a job well done.

It can get hot so we recommend bring sunblock, water, a hat and a positive attitude.
