Philly Climate Strike

In Philadelphia, PA, we will be joining the global movement with a rally and march to demand that our elected officials commit to fighting the climate crisis by implementing a municipal Green New Deal. We want it to include:
- 100% renewable energy by 2030
- No new fossil fuel projects
- A just transition to a renewable economy

Location: We’ll rally on the north side of City Hall and march in a loop for about 10 blocks through Center City. We plan to march down 15th Street to Locust, and then back up Broad Street to return to City Hall.
- 11am to 12:30pm -- Rally
- 12:30 to 1:30pm -- March
- 1:30 to 2:00pm -- Closing rally
What to bring: Please feel free to bring a sign or a banner, and bring some friends, family members, classmates, or coworkers!
Speakers: We’ll hear from young climate justice organizers, leaders from groups that are fighting for environmental justice, and more. We’ll also feature special musical performances.
Sponsors: The strike is organized by PA Youth Climate Strike, Sunrise Movement, Youth Climate Lobby, 350 Philadelphia, and Fossil Free Penn.
