AFSCME, the national organization with which PMA workers unionized in August 2020, is having their convention in Philadelphia this month, and we're thrilled they've decided to support the PMA Union and Local 397 with a big rally on the art museum steps!

The PMA Union has been in contract negotiations with Philadelphia Museum of Art management since October, 2020. We're negotiating for fair pay, affordable health insurance, paid parental leave, job security, and opportunities to build careers at the museum we love.

While management delays responses to our proposals, distracts from the big issues, and dismisses our proposed improvements, our members keep showing up and doing the essential work that brings the PMA to life and makes the museum a world-class institution. We've waited long enough for necessary change.

We're asking friends, community members, and supporters to rally with us on the East (Rocky) steps of the museum on Wednesday, July 13, at 5 PM. This will be a big, energetic event with signs and chants, speakers, and special guests representing AFSCME leadership. We need your support to show management it's time for a fair contract now!
