St. Louis DSA is joining the nation wide campaign to win a Green New Deal for Public Schools!

Authored by Squad member Rep. Jamaal Bowman and co-sponsored by Rep. Cori Bush, The Green New Deal for public school bill is a national effort to demand the government fix our schools. This bill pushes for safer and cleaner learning environments, puts resources into underfunded schools, and supports students with disabilities by investing $1.4 trillion into public schools.

It’s a super exciting new bill that would completely transform our kids’ schools by reducing class sizes, repairing crumbling schools in working-class Black, brown, and white communities, creating jobs and more—and all while fighting the climate crisis.

Everyone is welcome to join us in Tower Grove Park as we join the fight! We will have information about the campaign, sample text to write on the cards, and snacks. Masks are required for all attendees. Families and children are always welcome at StL DSA events, too, so come on out!
