Public ownership of services is increasingly under attack as wealthy private investors look to add to their portfolios at the expense of the people, but it is time for the people to stand up to protect their property and interests.The threat of privatization is evident on both the national level with the United States Postal Service and the local level with the city owned Lambert International Airport. The St. Louis Democratic Socialists of America (STL-DSA) will host a Protect Public Ownership Town Hall where we will discuss with expert panelists including Jameson Ramirez, Megan Green, and Cori Bush, the merits of public ownership, the drawbacks to privatization, and what we can do to defend our public services.
