1. Chase Bank (also known as JP Morgan Chase) is by far the #1 funder globally of both ongoing and new fossil fuel companies and projects which are poisoning the planet and causing climate change.

2. In October, Chase announced its plan to expand into Rhode Island and open 8-10 branches and many ATM’s here.
The first branch will open this summer at 234 Thayer St. near Brown/RISD.

3. Like other corporations, JPMorgan Chase and other Wall Street financial institutions are sensitive to public opinion.

When we unveil their complicity in the destruction of our climate and environment, we threaten their ability to attract large and small customers and thus their cherished profits as well.

4. Climate Action RI.350 and Sunrise RI have joined a national coalition of various organizations to hold Chase accountable for its role in the climate crisis, and push it to immediately halt all finance of fossil fuels.
