The Trump Administration and his allies are threatening to allow the federal government to shut down again, after we just ended the longest government shutdown in US history not long ago. There is also talk that he may even declare a national emergency in an attempt to get what he wants. All of this is being done to force funding for the border wall along Mexico. If the shutdown happens, then workers will be out of the job again, and what little safeguards we have protecting the wellbeing of people and the environment in this country will be out of commission! If the national emergency is declared, then he's on his way to waste billions in taxpayer money on a racist venture, which should have been better off used for real emergencies instead!

If the government shutdown or national emergency happens on February 15, 2019, there will be a rally and march around downtown Lakeland, FL on February 16th. We must protect the welfare of this country’s people and environment by making a clear and public demonstration, in a show of solidarity with many others around the country, calling for the cancellation of the "national emergency" declaration or to have the government reopen without funding a wasteful and xenophobic agenda. Whether the shutdown/declaration occurs or not before Feb 16, RSVPing now will allow proper and easier prepping.

To combat this insult to good governance and humanity, we as citizens of this country, must make our voices heard in rejecting this action!
