On February 11th, Senators Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer called for a nationwide rally on February 25th to stand for our healthcare (letter link below). We are organizing a unified stand against our Congress and administration's actions to dismantle the ACA, Planned Parenthood, Medicare, and Medicaid. These actions will affect not only tens of millions of Americans but also disporpotionally the poor, marginalized groups, and senior citizens. We are standing up for our friends, family, and neighbors. This shouldn't be a political issue. This is a human issue. It is NOT the time to be cynical because every bit of support matters. Our goal for the rally is to make a public show of support for the progressive vision of the United States that healthcare should be a right, not a privilege, and that the steps to protect these programs are necessary in this fight. This is the beginning to move forward in our vision. What we will stand against: -Repeal of the ACA and its important provisions (ie. Pre-existing Condition) -Defunding Planned Parenthood -Privatizing Medicare and reduction of Medicare Benefits -In this process, tax cuts will go to the very wealthy Please share and spread the word.
