Rally for Tenant Rights

Start: Saturday, September 17, 202212:00 PM

End: Saturday, September 17, 202203:00 PM

Friends,

Join PANA as we gather to demand more protections of Tenant Rights in San Diego!

Our communities face an array of challenges related to housing, including wrongful evictions, landlord harassment, stolen security deposits, and poor housing conditions, particularly for low-income residents. Over the last few years, the pandemic has greatly magnified the pre-existing affordable housing crisis in San Diego and across the country. Tenants are struggling to pay rent and have no place for refuge from landlords refusing to address legally mandated property issues. While the eviction moratorium and rental relief programs provided assistance for a limited time, families remain at risk of eviction today.

The San Diego City Council must act now to protect community members and expand current protections under city law. If passed, the Tenants Protection Ordinance will help prevent displacement for San Diego renters, including families, children, elderly, and those who are disabled.

Join us as we rally to demand an end to unfair evictions and the poor treatment of the most vulnerable in our City. Read the Fact Sheet and FAQ here.
