Hoosiers are tired of business as usual for redistricting and they want a fair process this time.

I’ve worked for Common Cause Indiana a long time – since 1995 – so this is my third round of redistricting. I can tell you we have never seen so many people engaged on this issue. It is clear that the grassroots organizing work we’ve done over the past decade has taken hold. It’s a brand new day for redistricting in Indiana.

It is really exciting to see this momentum for fair maps continue to build. There is one last committee hearing to take public input before the map-drawing begins – this time in Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 11 at 1 p.m. at the Indiana State House. We need to pack the House Chambers full of people demanding an open and transparent process that results in fair maps. Will you join us?
