Rally to Support Locked Out Honeywell Workers!

Start: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 5:00 PM

End: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 7:00 PM

Honeywell Aerospace has locked out the men and women of UAW Local 1508 in Green Island, New York along with their sisters and brothers in UAW Local 9 in South Bend, Indiana for rejecting a contract that would eliminate accessible and affordable union negotiated health care coverage and leave the employees at the mercy of the company, eliminate their pensions threatening the retirement income security of hundreds of families, unlawfully subcontract out union work, eliminate cost of living increases, curtail overtime pay, and restrict union representation rights.

The average pay for the UAW members at both plants, who make braking systems and parts for commercial and military aircraft, is $21.83 per hour. David Cote, Honeywell CEO’s compensation in 2015 was over $33,000,000 ($15,865 per hour) and Tim Mahoney, the head of Honeywell-Aerospace received $8,600,000 ($4,134 per hour) in 2015. What is wrong with this picture?

Stand with the skilled and proud UAW workers at Local 1508 in their fight against corporate greed, just like Congressman Tonko in the photo. See you on June 15th!
