RECLAIM OUR PLANET, RECLAIM OUR FUTURE WEBINAR

Start: Sunday, September 20, 2015 7:30 PM

As corporatization, inequality, injustice, and state violence intensify around the world, how can people, particularly those most marginalized and excluded by free trade and globalization challenge the corporate war on the poor and assert our vision for genuine development of our own communities?
The National TPP Team welcomes special guest speaker, Paul Quintos, Programme Manager, Ibon International, an NGO that promotes new development thinking for economic and social justice through capacity-development of people's movements worldwide.
Mr. Quintos' presentation focuses on this September 25-27th meeting of Heads of States and Governments at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York City to ostensibly agree on a new set of "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) and a "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" that promises to "transform our world" and "leave no one behind". However, it has become apparent that the so-called sustainable development plans have become a means of furthering a dangerous, neoliberal corporate agenda.
Join us for an engaging conversation about building a people's movement for genuine sustainable development based on justice, accountability, and ecological integrity. Learn about the Campaign for People's Goals and Global Days of Action for Justice and System Change this September!
