The Phone Bank Team of Reclaim Our Vote is excited to announce the Every Tuesday national phone bank series!  We're calling voters of color in North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.  

More than ever during the current Covid-19 crisis, we need to take actions that will help voters in voter suppression states avoid long lines on November 3rd by giving them crucial information related to absentee voting and early voting. At least four of the states mentioned above--Texas, North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona--will open special voting centers, and some of those states also offer absentee ballot drop boxes. We need to help voters of color register to vote when needed, sign up for absentee voting if eligible, find their closest voting center or drop box, understand the absentee ballot mailing deadlines, get a ride to early voting when necessary, and understand their state's voter ID requirements (if any). We need to remind them that voting is a community event--and, make sure they feel invited to become full members of that community!  

We will hold a national phone bank every Tuesday, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM Eastern, / 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM Pacific, from July 7th through Election Day, November 3rd.

The schedule of the Every Tuesday phone bank will be as follows:  

5:00 to 5:25 PM Eastern: Intro / shout-outs, and tips & tricks related to the specific phone bank for that day. (Everyone will be asked to read our ROV Phonebanking Guidelines or watch our phone bank training video well before the session starts)

5:25 to 7:15 PM Eastern: 1 hour, 50 minute phone bank

7:15 to 7:30 PM Eastern: Recap and share stories; best call / most unusual call competition

There will be a special Zoom phone bank training session for brand new phonebankers and/or phonebankers who have never called from their homes using NGP VAN--every Monday at 7:30 PM Eastern / 4:30 PM Pacific. This training session will last about one hour, and is open to everyone, not just those who are participating in the Every Tuesday phone bank--but sign up here for the Every Tuesday phone bank, even if you only plan to attend the Monday special training session.

Reclaim Our Vote is the only campaign reaching out exclusively to voters of color in such large numbers, in six major voter-suppression states. These voters need to hear from us now more than ever, in our incredibly fast-changing voting landscape.  We need to support one another in this work.  Join us - Every Tuesday!! See you there.
