Fair pay is essential to patient safety and the continued survival of our NHS, and we are disappointed, tired and angered by the Scottish Government's last minute proposal of a 4% pay rise for healthcare workers after a decade of real terms pay cuts.

Unions are balloting their members now - GMB (12th April - 5th May), Unison (15th April - 7th May) and the RCN (16th April - 6th May).   Join our mobilisation call to get active in our campaign to REJECT the pay deal.

NHS workers have suffered real terms pay cuts of up to 20% since 2010. We know colleagues who are turning to food banks to get by, while others are leaving because of low pay. The resulting nursing shortage is putting our patients at risk.

That’s why a restorative 15% pay rise is needed, to bring our NHS back to health and ensure patient safety.
